Stellenbosch E-Bike Wine Tour

During this half day e-bike tour guests experience the winelands not from the inside of a vehicle but enjoy the freedom of cycling through the wine farms with the wine tasting as an optional experience on each wine farm.

Tours depart from the Lanzerac Wine Estate which is also a great wine tasting destination that can be enjoyed before or after the tour. The relaxed cycling route follows scenic roads and cycle paths through Stellenbosch and the surrounding countryside.

Guests ride comfortable electric bicycles that assist while pedalling, making the experience suitable for most fitness levels. The tour visits two renowned wine farms, Rustenberg Wines and Stark‑Condé Wines, where guests can enjoy wine tastings and explore the estates. The journey combines vineyards, mountain views and quiet country roads, allowing visitors to experience the Stellenbosch Winelands in an active and scenic way.

  • Sterk Conde Wines – famous for its premium Cabernet Sauvignon and Bordeaux-style red blends produced in the Jonkershoek Valley

  • Rustenberg Wines – Rustenberg has built a strong international reputation for classic, high-quality wines that reflect traditional Stellenbosch winemaking.

This tour is the perfect mix of adventure, culture, and indulgence – a truly memorable way to explore Stellenbosch.

What to Expect

  • Meet up at Lanzerac WIne Estate

    Meet your Guide at our Starting Point, and a small information session will follow.

  • Introduction

    Starting with a short introduction/get to know the bikes. The guide will do a safety briefing and give you an introduction on how the e-bikes operate.

  • Cycle to first Wine Farm

    We will cycle towards our first destination/Wine Farm taking in the scenic views along the way.

  • First Tasting

    After arrival at the wine farm you will have the opportunity to do a tasting(On Own Account/Paid if Specified in Booking). This will either be Stark Conde Wines

  • Cycle to Second Wine Farm

    We will cycle towards our second destination/Wine Farm taking in the scenic views along the way. And stopping along the road for sort educational insights of the area.

  • Second Tasting

    After arrival at the wine farm you will have the opportunity to do a tasting(On Own Account/Paid if Specified in Booking). This will either be Rustenberg Wines or Glenelley depending on availabillity.

  • Making our way back to Lanzerac

    Last chance to the best of the view on the bike while we make our back through the historical town. 

  • Final Goodbyes

    Returning all the safety equipment and saying final goodbyes.
